Charisse J. Tubianosa
Charisse J. Tubianosa was born in Manila, Philippines where she started an MA in creative writing, but ended up getting degrees in economics instead. She currently resides in Barcelona, Spain and has circled back to writing fiction. Her stories tackle themes related to identity, race and the immigrant experience. She’s completing a collection of stories on being a Filipina in her country and beyond its borders. She is an alumna of Voices of Our Nation (VONA) Summer Workshop and the Tin House Summer Workshop. Her stories have been published with Spanglishvoces, Litbreak Magazine, and Sunspot Literary Journal.
